Moaniba Ratitaake, 40 years old, stands on the seawall he has built to protest his home.  Moaniba lives in Eita village on South Tarawa island, initially he could drive all the way to the house, but for the last 4-5 years much of the land remains underwater during hightide. Moaniba plans to build more sea walls around the land that reaches the ocean but he concedes this is only a short term fix for what will inevitably be uninhabitable land.
